Renowned Luxembourgish guitarist and composer David Laborier was recently honored with the opportunity to compose an original piece for the Grand Duke’s Birthday Celebration, which took place on June 23, 2024. The composition, performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, was a standout moment of the official ceremony, showcasing Laborier’s ability to merge sophisticated jazz influences with orchestral grandeur.
As a seasoned musician and professor of jazz studies at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, Laborier has long been a driving force in Luxembourg’s jazz scene. In addition to this national recognition, Laborier and his NE:X:T Trio took the stage at the Barn Sessions at Mutferter Haff on September 19, 2024.
